
Dr. Denika Kleinmann earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Biola University, CA. She received her Master of Music and Doctorate of Musical Arts degrees in cello performance from the University of North Texas, studying with Eugene Osadchy. Denika recorded with the Stream of Praise Christian Music Foundation in CA and recorded with pianist Lynn Yew Evers in WA. Their New Age recording titled, “Without Words” has won the Global Music Award and a Grammy Nomination in 2015. While in Texas, Denika was the Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas and the cello professor at the Music Conservatory of Texas. Denika has performed with Plano Symphony, Irving Symphony, San Angelo Symphony, Monroe Symphony, Walla-Walla Symphony, Mid-Columbia Symphony, Tacoma Symphony and Spokane Symphony. Denika served as the assistant principal cellist at Tacoma Symphony from 2013-2015. She is currently the assistant principal cellist at Yakima Symphony, she frequently performs with the Spokane Civic Theater and she joined the McCall Summer Festival the summer of 2016. Denika is the cello professor at the Upper Columbia Academy and at Spokane Falls Community College.
